Examinations and Cleanings
You will have your teeth cleaned and polished by one of our hygienists who will remove any bacteria and plaque in hard-to-reach places. Then Dr. McGruder will examine your teeth for any signs of significant decay that may need to be further addressed. If there is, we will be happy to reschedule another appointment for you to receive the care you need. We recommend coming in for your exam and cleaning twice a year.

If you have a cavity, Dr. McGruder will be happy to give you a dental filling, starting by numbing the surrounding area. Dr. McGruder will then drill away the decayed enamel, using a composite material to reinforce the remaining tooth and mold it so that it looks like a full tooth. Once the material is cured, you will not be able to tell the difference between the composite material and your real tooth.
